Our story

Bridging the gap between seniors and technology.

That's been the mission since day one — and it started closer to home than you might think.

From a 15-year-old with a knack for tech…

In 2017, our founder Sean Kearney was 15 years old, helping his grandparents' generation make sense of computers, phones, and printers that never seemed to cooperate. With his cousin Ryan, he started a little business called "Tech-on-Deck" — and quickly discovered something: what seniors needed wasn't just a repair. It was someone patient enough to explain.

In 2018, the business became Porchswing Technology — a name that captures how help should feel: comfortable, familiar, and friendly, like a conversation on the front porch.

…to 1,100+ clients across California and Texas

Today, Porchswing Technology & Senior Services, LLC serves seniors in Northern California (Rocklin, Roseville, Loomis, Lincoln, Granite Bay, Folsom, Auburn), plus College Station, Texas — in their homes, on their schedule. We've helped 1,100+ clients fix what's broken, recover from scams, and—our favorite part—actually enjoy their technology.

Along the way we've taught technology classes, hosted a radio show answering tech questions from the community, and now we're launching PorchSwingProtect, antivirus protection made for seniors and backed by our team.

Out in the community

From in-home visits to senior-center classes, scam-prevention talks, and our local radio show — here's Porchswing in action.

What we believe

Patience first

We explain things as many times as it takes, in plain English. There's no such thing as a silly question here.

Respect, always

Seniors are smart — they just weren't raised on this technology. We teach the way we'd want our own grandparents taught.

Honest advice

We'll tell you what you actually need — and just as importantly, what you don't.

Real people

When you call, a person answers. When something goes wrong, we show up.

We'd love to help you, too.

Call us and a real person will pick up — or send a message and we'll call you.
